Catalunya has an Iberic, Greek and Roman past and remains of these periods you will find all over Catalunya. For instance the Roman remains in Tarragona and the Greek settlements in Empúries.
The landschapes will take your breath away. From the Pyrenees in the north to the Ebro delta, one of the best bird watching areas in Europe.
Admire the architecture of Catalan Modernism with its main architect Gaudí in Barcelona and other cities such as Reus. Beautiful are the wine cathedrals in the wine regions of Priorat and Terra Alta.
Great wines and cavas
Good food is important to the Catalans. Enjoy the mediterranean cuisine, local products and Catalan dishes such as Fideua. More than 50 restaurants are recognised by Michelin, with the majority in the region Costa Brava/Girona. But you can have a great lunch and dinner everywhere.
You can find Unesco World Heritage Sites all over Catalunya. Visit the monastery of Poblet, Tarragona (or Tarraco in Roman times), the works of Gaudí in Barcelona but also the national park of El Montseny and Ebro Delta.

The coastline is very diverse. From the French border with the National Park of Cap de Creus to the south with the Ebro Delta. Enjoy the scenery, nature and the beaches of Costa Brava, Costa Barcelona and Costa Daurada.
