Day 1 - arrival Hotel El Molí in Pont de Molins and visit to Dalí museum in Figueres
Hotel El Molí is a charming hotel, located in a restored mill from the 17th century, with an outdoor swimming pool, In the evening a 4-course dinner with local products. The restaurant is closed on Monday, Tuesdays for dinner and Wednesdays for lunch and dinner.
Figueres, the birth place of Dalí, is also where his famous museum is located. The museum was built on the remains of the theatre in Figueres and was designed by the artist himself. He created a unique world and you will need all your eyes during the visit to this exeptional museum.
Figueres is 10 minutes by car from the hotel.
Day 2 - visit to Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat
Near the beautiful town of Cadaques you will find this museum. In 1930 he and his wife and inspiration Gala moved her and created their house little by little in about 40 years. This was the place where he lived and worked until 1982.
It is about an hour's drive from the hotel. Combine the visit with this museum with a visit to Cadaques and surroundings.
Day 3- departure/extension and visit to Gala Dalí Castle
The castle of Púbol or Gala Dalí Castle is a medieval building where Dalí created a house for Gala, his muse with just her in mind. This was also his last workshop between 1982 and 1984 and the mausoleum for Gala.
Púbol is about a 45 minutes drive from the hotel.
We can arrange the visits in any order you would prefer depending on the opening times of the musea. You can extend your stay with an extra night in the hotel, in Girona or on the coast.
Optional: visit with lunch an wine tasting at La Vinyeta, a beautiful winery that a young enthusiastic couple started in the wine region of the Alt Empordà in 2002. Voted Winery of the Year 2018 by the Association of Catalan Sommeliers. A special winery that produces not only wine but also olive oil, vinegar, eggs, cheese and honey with respect of nature. You will taste these products and their wines during lunch after the tour.
