During this holiday you will start the cycling in the Pyreenes, offering you the opportunity to pedal trough picturesque mountains and experience the unspoiled natural beauty. 


Then you will discover the Garrotxa volcanic zone, where you will be mesmerized by the relaxing trails and verdant valleys sculpted by ancient volcanoes. After that you will arrive to Girona where you will enjoy this medieval city known by its rich history, charming cobblestone streets and vibrant culture. We recommed to have a free day in Girona to explore its ancient walls, historic landmarks and rich offer of local cuisine.


To finish this tour you will cycle to the Costa Brava for a relaxing stay in hotel Costa Brava to reflect on your  remarkable escapade.

Program

Day 1 & 2 – Arrival in Sant Pau & Pyrenees Cycling Tour (49 km)

Your cycling holiday begins in Santa Pau, a stunning medieval town in La Garrotxa (the volcanic landscape). Known for its well-preserved historic architecture, the village features cobbled streets, ancient stone buildings, and a picturesque main square. Surrounded by lush landscapes and the nearby Volcanic Zone Natural Park, it is a perfect destination for both nature lovers and history enthusiasts. Visitors can explore its unique heritage and enjoy local culinary delights, such as the famous Santa Pau beans.


On the second day, the bikes will be delivered around 09:30 AM for your transfer to Llanars, where you will start your cycling tour in the Pyrenees. Begin your day in the tranquil village of Llanars, nestled amidst lush greenery. Cycle through the idyllic countryside towards Camprodon, descending gently while soaking in breathtaking vistas of the majestic Pyrenees. From there, embark on a scenic ascent through fragrant pine forests to reach the charming village of Sant Pau de Segúries, where historic stone buildings add to the picturesque atmosphere.

Continue your journey through verdant valleys and along the crystal-clear waters of the Ter River. Enjoy the changing scenery as you approach Olot, where the landscape transforms into the unique volcanic terrain of La Garrotxa, dotted with ancient volcanic cones and lush vegetation.


Accommodation: 2 nights at Hotel Cal Sastre (Half Board: breakfast and dinner included), featuring excellent local cuisine. Located opposite the medieval castle, the hotel is ideal for exploring the old town and enjoying views of the "Santa Margarita" and "Puig de Mar" volcanoes, the "Sant Julia" mountains, or the 13th-century castle.

Girona

Day 3 & 4 – From Santa Pau to Girona (70 km)

From Santa Pau, the route heads towards Olot and continues to Les Preses, a charming village in the heart of the natural park. Pedal onward to Sant Esteve d'en Bas, a picturesque village surrounded by green countryside. As you cycle through this idyllic landscape, you will reach Sant Feliu de Pallarols, a town with a rich history and stunning natural surroundings.


The route then takes you to Les Planes d'Hostoles and Amer, a town known for its medieval architecture and peaceful ambiance. Cycle through rolling hills towards Anglès, a town blending historical charm with modern amenities. Your journey concludes in the vibrant city of Girona, famous for its cathedral, ancient city walls, and the charming Jewish Quarter.


The fourth day is a free day in Girona to explore its rich cultural heritage. Visit the Girona Cathedral, featuring the widest Gothic nave in the world, wander through the Jewish Quarter (one of the best-preserved in Europe), and stroll along the colorful houses lining the Onyar River. Cross the iconic Eiffel Bridge and visit the Arab Baths. Finally, take a walk along the medieval city walls for panoramic views of the city.


Accommodation: 2 nights at the 4* Hotel Carlemany in the heart of Girona (Bed & Breakfast). Girona is renowned for its world-class restaurants, and we are happy to provide local dining recommendations.

Calella de Palafrugell

Day 5 & 6 – From Girona to Costa Brava (41 km)

Cycle from Girona through Llambilles and Cassà de la Selva, a town rich in history and surrounded by forests. Continue towards Llagostera and Santa Cristina d'Aro, enjoying the serene atmosphere and picturesque landscapes. The route passes through Castell d'Aro, a historic town with narrow cobbled streets and a well-preserved medieval castle, finally ending in Platja d'Aro. Upon arrival at the hotel, the bikes will be collected.


Accommodation: Your final 2 nights are at the 3* Hotel Costa Brava in Platja d'Aro (Half Board). This charming hotel is perched on the rocks facing the sea, right on the coastal path, offering incredible views and direct access to Cala Rovira and Platja Gran.


The last day is free to enjoy the Costa Brava. Relax on the sandy beaches, go shopping, or enjoy water sports like kayaking and snorkeling. Local excursion suggestions:


- Palamós (8 km): A fishing town famous for its prawns.

- Calella de Palafrugell (23 km): A traditional fishing village with whitewashed houses.

- Begur (26 km): A historic town with castle ruins and beautiful coves.


The hotel is located directly on the Camí de Ronda (GR92), a spectacular coastal path along cliffs and hidden bays—the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable cycling tour.
